Haldane Fisher Ballymena helped raise £185 at a recent breakfast morning to help send customer Ian McBride to Peru.

A joiner and general handyman by trade, Ian embarked on a journey to the South American country in June for over a fortnight with his church. The aim was to help build houses for the poor and underprivileged.

The breakfast morning was held on the 16th of June and several mini challenges were set up, such a kicking a football into a cement mixer and trying to get the bull on a dart board.

Carl Toman Branch Manager said ‘Ian’s such an esteemed and valued customer in Ballymena and it was great to be able to help him out with such a great cause’.

Ian’s also known as a bit of a practical joker and it only seemed fitting that the team in Ballymena wished him well for his journey by throwing a cake into his face.

Ian has returned home safe and sound from his trip and even managed to grab this fantastic picture in Haldane Fisher uniform while climbing Machu Picchu. We’ll let him off for not smiling – it’s tough at the top!
